Selection as a MEMBER is intended to acknowledge and recognize those individuals who have had an expansive and transformative impact on the drum corps activity. It is designed for those whose careers left an indelible mark upon the drum corps world. Achieving Membership in the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame is a three-step procedure as follows:
Any interested person may submit a candidate for the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame membership consideration by completing a Nomination Form on the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame website and obtaining the candidate confirmation.
Please find a link to the nomination form below. Forms must be submitted online by February 15th to be considered for that calendar year. Once submitted, nominations remain active for a period of five years and do not require resubmission annually.
Ballot Selection Committee consists of twelve World Drum Corps Hall of Fame members appointed by the President. These twelve members form four (4) sub-committees with three members each focusing on Brass, Percussion, Visual and Administration.
Annually each sub-committee will first review all submitted applications and verify the completeness and accuracy of the information provided. The committees will return the application for additional information and clarification, if necessary.
Second, the committees will review all active applications and select twelve (12) outstanding nominees to be placed on the ballot. These twelve (12) nominees (three each in Brass, Percussion, Visual and Administration) are forwarded to the Selection Committee Chairperson by March 15th.
All Members in Good Standing of the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame will receive ballots by email. A “Member in Good Standing” is defined as one who supports the WDCHOF in one of the following ways:
Each member must cast a ballot for six of the twelve nominees. All ballots must be completed by the deadline stated in the email. Late ballots will not be counted.
The top six (6) votes will become the New Inductees for the current year. By April 25th the WDCHOF President will notify all New Inductees, announce the results to the membership and have the website updated to announce results to the public.
