As the first historian of the Connecticut Hurricanes, John Fisher is the keeper of the proud traditions of that legendary championship unit, having founded and served as the first president of the Hurricanes Alumni Association.
The collection he curates includes a complete score archive, videos covering three decades of performances, biographies for all members of the Hall of Fame and Members of Distinction, a 65-plus year audio library, and over 5,000 photographs.
Beginning with the Oxford Explorers in 1963, John joined the Hurcs as a baritone in 1966, moving on to Contra Bass while instructing marching. He is a Hall of Fame member of the Connecticut Alumni and the Hurricanes, serving on their Board of Directors for 30 years.
