As Acting Commander of the US Army Old Guard Fife, Drum and Bugle Corps, Mark is regarded as one of the finest rudimental drummers in the world, having won the Northeastern States Drum Corps snare championships three times. He has made presentations at the Amsterdam Conservatory, Royal College of Music (UK), and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
He has collaborated with internationally prominent groups including the Top Secret Drum Corps (Basel, Switzerland), the King’s Guard of Norway, Her Majesty’s Royal Marines, and the Pontifical Swiss Guard, has also appeared at the Virginia Military, Royal Nova Scotia, and Edinburgh Tattoos, and performed at the Inauguration of President Barack Obama and for visiting dignitaries President Hu Jin Tao of China, Prime Minister John Howard of Australia, and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of England.
Mark Reilly has presented clinics on rudimental drumming at the University of Iowa, Marshall University, University of Kentucky, University of Southern Mississippi, Northwestern State University, and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, among others. He is currently president and CEO of the Washington Tattoo, a world-class international music and arts festival in the D.C. area.
